Fire Doors - The Consequence of Complacency

Featuring Hannah Mansell, Group Technical Director of Masonite U

As part of The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Fire Door Safety Week Campaign, Masonite is hosting a complimentary briefing on Thursday 23rd September (11am): Fire Doors - The Consequence of Complacency.

During the 40-minute session, Hannah Mansell – UK Group Technical Director of Masonite,  will consider awareness around fire door safety and the consequences of walking past potential issues.

From signage to intumescent seals, fire safety measures and maintenance saves lives. But with gaps in fire safety knowledge apparent, landlords and building stakeholders must work with residents and community leaders to raise awareness for appropriate fire door safety.

Hannah is former chair of the Passive Fire Protection Forum, former Trustee of the Children’s Burns Trust and winner of the ASFP ‘Advocate for Passive Fire Protection’ award 2018. She is a member of British Standard Institute committees FSH/022/0-/05 Fire resistance tests for doors and FSB/001 Fire Safety & Built Environment Task Group.
